This morning, Microsoft announced to great fanfare the technical preview of Office 2010. A great deal of the attention has gone to the fully collaborative Web access that the announcement described. Taking Office online is something of a big deal, since it would mean Microsoft is aiming to compete directly with the moves Google and startups like Zoho have made to capture the SaaS market of office suites.
But what Microsoft didn’t make clear is that Web access to Office 2010 is not a part of the current technical preview, and will have its own lauch
