In spite of the day’s inauspicious beginnings, and believe it or not, even resistance to its status as a national holiday, supporters of Father’s Day persevered and managed to help it become the holiday that we now celebrate.
While dates and manners of celebration vary all around the world (including the most interesting German Vatertag), this Sunday is dad’s day in many countries, which makes as good a day as any to remind your dad how special he is to you.
